Agamim is a planned community of brand-new construction on a tract of raw land in the south of the city. The name "Agamim" means "Lakes" and the area plan includes the excavation of artificial lakes in the center of the project. The first units were completed and occupied in 2014 and construction continues at a brisk pace.
The goal is to provide a high quality of life with all-new infrastructure at an affordable price. The affordability factor is a function of the project's location. It is not within easy walking distance of, well, anything. You'll need to hop in the car to get to schools, shopping or the beach. You could take a bus if there were any. Many of the roads remain unpaved and bus service has yet to commence.
The attraction of Agamim is that once all the necessary infrastrucutre is completed with schools, bus service, shopping, etc., the residents will enjoy a high quality of life in a brand-spanking-new community. Of course you still won't be able to walk to the beach, but this should keep prices affordable.
